What is a sunbird????

thanks! the sunbirds are the seniors who come up from Arizona to spend the summmer in Logan, to beat the heat, staying in the student apartments, most of which are right across the street from the track. The USU track is their morning social fitness center. The whole track. All eight lanes. Either standing or walking. arrghhhh.

I had no idea!!! I was thinking old people, but was not sure. That stinks. Maybe you should hold a track etiquette meeting???

I think I am going to make a sign saying "Walkers: please use the outer lanes when runners are on the track. Lanes 1 and 2 are reserved for runners. thank you". And post it in several places. If that doesn't work I don't know what to do. Maybe go to Logan high or skyview and run. better tracks anyway.

I say do not make a sign, make a shirt!

Logan High is even worse. I've had good luck at Sky View. I've had even better luck by just staying off the track and doing all my workouts on the road.

Paul, thanks for the heads up, I am kind of leaning towards the road now as well. Maybe I can join you for one of your Smithfield cemetary interval workouts sometime, that looks like a nice loop.

It is a nice loop, although I haven't run it in many months.

I've given up on tracks and on roads for speedwork. Just do it all on trails! Of course, it's hard to do even repeats on hilly dirt courses, but it's more picturesque!

Jon, I'm sure some of those sunbirds are quite picturesque.

I'm sure they're not all from AZ. And if they are, they're all racists.
